I saw a post on Reddit which explained quite beautifully why poetry isn’t a waste of time. I was inspired to attempt writing a little poem on what poetry is, recited below.

Repetition and poetry
a set of pottery
breaking the lottery
with medias trottery.

What is a poem, you say?
Mind, the idea sway

Meaning and words
are poetry’s swords
Slaying the -winded
with wisdom and grasp
